PROFILE | NICHOLAS MIRAMONTES

Nicholas (Nick) Miramontes is a freelance photographer, specializing in studio still-life product/lifestyle photography.

Hometown: Milwaukee, WI.

Current City: I worked and lived in Los Angeles, CA. for 16 years as a professional photographer on all levels. (Yes, like a classic Bob Segar song, after college, I decided this was somewhere I had to try... grateful every day that I did.) In 2017 I made my way back home to be with my family, and start a little family of my own—yeah, I can’t believe it either.

Photography Style: I am a classically trained photographer (I remember film and those things called photo labs) and most of the work you see on my site is in studio still-life product.  Lighting is my passion and I have a very solid technical background.

On-Set Philosophy: The extra amount of time it takes to truly address your clients’ vision on-set is what, in my experience, drives the best results. Bottom line, I strive for professionalism. I want "what you see on the screen” during a photo session to be as close to what you were expecting to see in post-production.

Experience: I have worked all over the world for both editorial and advertising clients across a variety of mediums – web, print, billboards, TV spots, look books etc. – and sectors - lifestyle/entertainment, beverage, technology, auto, and healthcare.

Clients: I enjoy the nuances and challenges of each unique project and have worked with a range of clients - from major international consumer brands to startups. Recent clients include Harley-Davidson, Bay View Printing Co., Exemplis, Sit-on-it Seating, Bright Cellars, Oakley, St. Johns Knit, Infiniti, Cleveland Golf, Murad, Loan Depot, just to name a few.

The Final Word: When it's all said and done I have a passion for photography and, from a technical point-of-view, the two things I strive to achieve are style and lighting.  I’m an easy going person looking for clients who see my potential, want to challenge my abilities and push themselves - in a collaborative way.
